Update :)

Well I am in the class I have to be in to be accepted to my major, so I will know the middle of october!! This is really exciting. I have been learning a lot about teaching and I am excited to use by new knowledge. If things go the way I want them to then I will be doing my Student Teaching in the Winter of 2010. This also means I will be graduating that April!! YAY!!!! I am so excited that things are going well and that life just keeps moving forward. I also got my hair done (its marronish purple:) and i love it!!!) So Life is great right now and I hope it is for you too!!

YAY! New show on the way!!

Just found out we will be doing "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown" for my youth theaters production coming next april!!! I am excited to work on this project since it is a show I have not done and i LOVE the story!! If you have any suggestions please leave them!!

bored!!!

Well i just finished teaching my theater workshop and i LOVED it!! I decided to teach the first day on imagination and creating a story(here we took poems and performed the story with our bodies). The next day we did Pantimime, which i think was the best day of all!! (we painted an imaginary box, thinking of colors and shapes, we painted to music (remembering all of this is pantimimed so no actual paint or paper!! that was the best!!) ) Then the last day we created Masks, which the kids loved!!! it truely was so fun!!!

But now that i am done...and school spring term is almost over... i dont know what to do!! I am working but lol how much fun is that all the time?! oh well, summer should go by fast!

The Conclusion!

The Wizard Of Oz has closed and did such a wonderful job!!! It really was an incredible show. We sold out EVERY performance!! Can you believe that!! Next year we will be performing at the Covey Center in Provo, Ut. We had to find more room for our audience!!

I will be posting pictures of OZ later on and show you all how great they did. Center Stage Youth Performers is really such a great place for young actors!!! I just love it there and cant wait for next year!

My Life- the new theater

Besides just Theater at Center Stage i am trying to start a new Youth Theater. It should be a lot of fun. We are doing it this summer and we will see how it goes. If it flops i am out nothing but developing new ideas for my classroom. But if you are interested in participating in a New Youth Theater group in Utah County we will be having acting classes as well as a 2 week everyday rehersal for a MUSICAL let me know!! It should be great fun!!

Theater

I have had a lot of fun teaching my class on how to apply acting techniques to make their performance in Wizard of Oz better! It has been so much fun. We have had different activities like improv, speech and diction, team work and even puppetry! Its been hard at some moments to keep the kids listening and involved but it has been a great year so far!!

Wizard of OZ will be opening at the end of april. More details to come on how to get ticket!
